“I’d love to do yoga more often – but those poses make my wrists sore!”

In a computer-focused world, wrist pain has become an accepted part of daily life for many people. Yoga can be the best thing that ever happened for your wrists, but most classes don’t focus on this very important area. In this workshop, learn how to use yoga to open and strengthen the areas crucial to wrist health, as well as how to apply these principles to your daily life. This workshop is appropriate for anyone who has experienced wrist pain or wants to learn how to prevent it; no past yoga experience is necessary.

Although much of this workshop is safe and helpful for someone with chronic wrist injuries (e.g. tendonitis or carpal tunnel syndrome), some exercises may not be appropriate for everyone. If you have current wrist pain severe enough to discourage weight-bearing exercise or the full range of movement of your hand, wrist or fingers, consult your doctor before participating and notify the studio when you sign up. This workshop is not appropriate for someone with a recent wrist break, sprain or fracture.
