Women’s Argentine Tango Technique Workshop

This workshop will explore the various elements of women’s technique in Tango Dance. It will give women the opportunity to focus on their own progress, ask specific questions and  practice technique that is harder to do when working with a partner.

* Walking, posture, and line of movement;

* Ochos;

* Connecting with your partner;

* Musicality;

* Do’s and Don’t’s at the milonga
Open to women who have already taken the Beginner Tango Workshop or women with previous Argentine tango experience (no absolute beginners).

Instructor: Marilena Stalteri

She has been dancing tango since 2004. Her teachers include Regina Salman, Victor Hugo, Miguel Coppini, Barry and Lydia Byrne, Marisa Galindo, Romero and Elina Roldan, Hector Falcon, Susana Miller, Graziela Gonzalez, and Enriqueta Kleinman. In 2005, Marilena travelled to Buenos Aires to study with Maria Plazaola and the late Carlos Gavito. She has been teaching and performing for 3 years. Some performances include the Hamilton Tango Festival, and Taste of the Danforth. As an instructor she focuses on connection and gracefulness.
